Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the City of Johannesburg Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• South African citizenship and reside within the City of Johannesburg metro area

• Completed Grade 12 with a Bachelor's pass (minimum 60% in Mathematics and English)

• Accepted or currently enrolled at a recognized South African university

• Demonstrated financial need (household income below R350,000 per annum)

• Strong academic record with minimum 65% average

• Must be willing to work for the City of Johannesburg after graduation

• Not in receipt of any other municipal or government bursary
